Robert Barker has been managing operations for company since 2012.
Ingram Barge Co., based in Nashville, has announced the promotion of Robert Barker to senior vice president and chief information officer. He will report to Craig Philip, Ingram Barge’s CEO.
“Robert has been managing operations, budgets, and varied technological projects of the information services group since joining Ingram in 2010,” Philip says. “Robert’s expertise and leadership in this department continues to make a positive impact.”
Prior to Ingram, Barker served as director of Information Systems for a multi-billion dollar division of Manitowoc Co., based in Shady Grove, Pa.
Ingram Barge Company is a subsidiary of privately held Ingram Industries Inc. The company operates a fleet of more than 150 line haul towboats and close to 4,500 barges that transport coal, aggregates, grain, fertilizer, ores, alloys, steel products and chemicals.
