Dredging company will provide maintenance dredging at the Port of Baltimore.
The Army Corps of Engineers’ Baltimore District has awarded Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corp., based in Oak Brook, Ill., a $24.2 million contract to provide maintenance dredging at the Port of Baltimore.
The work, expected to start in September, is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2012.
Great Lakes Dredge & Dock, which is involved in dredging services and industrial demolition and remediation services, will use two clamshell dredges on the project. Work is expected to be complete by the end of 2012.
